Outstanding BMW repair shop. Honest, high quality, and fair price.

I have a BMW X5 which has a few years on it. CS Motor Werks takes very good care of it no matter if it’s standard maintenance or something unique to BMW.

CSMotor does a great job. The time of car maintenance and the cost are also reasonable. At other repair shops, I had inconvenient experiences where I had to leave my car for a day or two even for simple repairs, but CSMotor isn't like that. I plan to continue using them in the future.

Wow! What a breath of fresh air! From the time I made the call to discuss the issue with my car, my experience was exceptional. I had an oil leak and a mechanic here diagnosed it in 5 minutes, fixed it and the air conditioning. Before coming to CS Motorwerks, I took my car to a shop in Calabasas and they charged me to diagnose the oil leak, even though they couldn’t find it! CS Motorwerks never charged to find the leak! Cristian is knowledgeable, honest, and a true gem in a sea of crooks and bad work ethics.

One day I happened to notice the air conditioner on my 2016 X5 (F15) was no longer blowing cold while stopped or doing stop & go type driving in traffic. One time, while sitting in a long drive thru line, the car overheated and went into what I'm guessing was "limp mode". That extra info led me to conclude the electric fan was no longer working. Since this model of X5 only has electric fan and no mechanical one, it was imperative to have it working. Since I'm comfortable doing high level troubleshooting, I was able to isolate the fan circuit and cause the fan to engage manually. This told me the problem wasn't actually the fan itself. Not having all the tools nor location to tear into the wiring myself, I opted to take the X5 to a different independent BMW repair shop in Thousand Oaks and have them track down the wiring issue. After charging me 2 hours for diagnostics/labor, they gave me the car back and said it wasn't the fan. Gee, thanks! I already knew that! Still looking for the fan issue to actually be repaired I decided to try CS Motorwerks in Westlake Village, seeing that they had more experience with the various ECU's used in BMW's. They quickly narrowed the problem down to the DME not sending the required Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) signal to the fan. Unfortunately the DME is REALLY expensive and new ones typically have to be ordered from Germany, then encoded into the rest of the car. CS Motorwerks was able to order, replace and encode the DME within a couple of days, at a cost hundreds of dollars less than the dealer would've wanted. If I ever have repair jobs beyond my DIY skill set I won't hesitate to use CS Motorwerks again.
